Council Rock Consulting, Inc. (CRC) is the parent company of World BioHazTec Corp. (WBHT). CRC is a safety and health management consulting firm that focuses on the forthcoming issues in the occupational health and safety, healthcare, laboratories, industry and allied fields. As an organization that always remains on the cutting edge, CRC developed an original third-party certification program that upholds the integrity of a biocontainment facility. The need for biocontainment expertise and third-party laboratory certification was evident and CRC began to grow to meet the demand, which has spread throughout the world.

During a certification evaluation in Singapore, CRC consultants realized that the company name, “Council Rock Consulting, Inc.” did not translate properly for clients in Asia. Furthermore, the demand for biocontainment expertise and third-party certification had grown so large that it no longer fit into CRC’s business model. A new company needed to be formed to encourage the biosafety community to practice safe science by offering valuable services including biocontainment consulting, third-party laboratory certification, biosecurity consulting and training. World BioHazTec Corp. (WBHT) was created to serve university and private sector research organizations. CRC is committed to public service and still provides these services via its GSA Schedule for qualifying government agencies.

WBHT provides biocontainment consulting and third-party certification throughout the world. The original certification program formulated by CRC has expanded into an in-depth risk assessment that includes biosafety, engineering validation, safety management evaluation, biosecurity and biorisk management. Our services keep the biocontainment facility’s biosafety officer and the facility engineers involved throughout the entire process. So influential are WBHT’s programs that governments seek our counsel on the development and promulgation of their guidelines and regulations. Universities and private organizations consistently request our services to ensure that their facility is properly designed, constructed and certified. As staff move on, training and refresher courses can be provided for all staff including new employees, scientists, technicians and engineers.
